Occasionally, they will come out during the day and you might get to see them walking along the shore in all of their splendid colors of red, green, and purple. They have been known to catch flies and many other creatures in their claws, but their favorite food is algae. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;They, in turn, are eaten by gulls and other animals.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description>
