Your 1980 picture shows what a well preserved coniver you are. I will call you for my next haircut. These are great stories and should be made into a book.

San Onofre was always one of my favorite places too, not because it was the greatest wave but because it was such a fun and wholesome place for the whole family.

When I was a child, San Onofre was the only surf spot where I dared stand up on a surfboard by myself. The waves for beginners were gentle,forgiving and not too far from shore! I loved trips down there-all of us piling in the car for the long drive down and a fun filled day of sun, sand and surf.These things as well as the camaraderie with all the families on the beach made memories that have stayed with me to this day...
